Setup guide

From your profiles to your storefront.

Set up BubbleChatly in three steps. No theme code editing or social-account login required.

1. Add and save your links

  1. Open BubbleChatly from Apps in your Shopify admin.
  2. Select Add social link. Choose a platform, enter a tooltip label, and provide the full profile URL. For WhatsApp, use https://wa.me/ followed by your country code and number, without spaces or a plus sign. For email, use mailto: followed by your address.
  3. Choose an icon and enable Show this link. Use the arrows to reorder links. Add up to six links; empty URLs stay hidden.
  4. Enable Show widgets. Customize your banner heading, description, inline label, and new-tab preference.
  5. Choose Save settings. Wait for the saved confirmation before opening a placement link.

2. Choose a placement

Floating bubbles

Choose Enable floating bubbles in the app. In the theme editor’s App embeds panel, enable Floating bubbles. Choose the corner, spacing, icon size, colors, animation, and mobile visibility. Click Save in the theme editor.

Under the product title

Choose Add product bar. In a compatible product information section, add the Social links bar app block and drag it below the title. If the shortcut cannot add it, open a product template and use Add block → Apps. Themes without app-block support in that section can use an Apps section where available.

Above the footer

Choose Add footer banner. Add the Community banner app block in your theme’s footer group or an Apps section, then move it above the footer. Set colors and spacing and save the theme editor. The available locations depend on your theme.

Theme editor Save publishes the placement on the theme you are editing. Use a duplicate theme to try changes before publishing.

3. Check your storefront

  1. Refresh the storefront or an already-open theme preview after saving app settings.
  2. Check desktop and mobile layouts, including overlaps with cookie banners, cart drawers, and other floating widgets.
  3. Click every icon and confirm it opens your intended destination. Check keyboard focus and tooltip labels.
  4. Check the correct product template and theme. Settings are shared across placements; appearance settings belong to each placement.

The in-app preview illustrates your content. Your theme editor is the final preview for placement and appearance.
